I’m embracing a fully sustainable lifestyle on my property, where both the barn and cabin are powered by solar energy. I’ve made significant strides toward becoming off-grid, with solar panels providing all the electricity I need to run daily operations and keep the cabins comfortable. In addition to the solar power, I am also working on implementing a rainwater collection system, which will help reduce my reliance on outside water sources and make the entire setup more self-sufficient.
While I’m making great progress toward living off the grid, there’s one aspect that still ties me to the outside world—satellites. Despite my best efforts to disconnect, satellite signals are unavoidable, and unless I were underground, I’d still have some connection to the modern world. Nonetheless, the rest of the property is fully independent, and I’m continuously improving systems to reduce my environmental footprint and increase my sustainability.
One of the main reasons I chose this location was its abundance of game and fish, making it the perfect place to live off the land. The natural resources available in this area allow me to be more self-reliant, providing food and other necessities without needing to rely on external suppliers. The land is not just a place to live; it’s a source of sustenance and a chance to reconnect with nature.
Living off the grid has been a rewarding experience, and while there’s still some work to do, I’m proud of the progress I’ve made. The focus on sustainability, renewable energy, and self-sufficiency has transformed my lifestyle, offering a deep sense of fulfillment and independence.
